Falcata Trainer

      The falcata was in use throughout the Iberian Peninsula and was issued by Hannnibal to his troops. Powerful cuts and a point aligned for ease of thrusting made it a fearsome weapon. Our falcata trainer is hand ground from 3/4” thick HDPE polymer. The 18” hand ground blade is matched with a flame treated jute wrapped handle.  The jute is infused with marine grade resin to create a grippy and permanent , phenolic handle wrap.   Blade and pommel feature our hand textured wood grain finish and copper patina.  Overall length of 24”.  Weighs 1lb 1.3oz
